Supported Accommodation
MOIRA provides Supported Accommodation services to individuals living at one of four properties located in the suburbs of Cheltenham, Aspendale and Frankston.
Each house accommodates five adults who have varied levels of intellectual disability and require full time assistance.
Each accommodation setting specialises in a particular area of need, ranging from high level physical or medical support to assistance with living skills or behaviours of concern. Individuals residing in Supported Accommodation are assisted to set personal goals and have influence over the service that is provided to them. Individuals are also supported to maintain regular contact with family members and advocates, develop unpaid relationships and increase independence where possible.
Access to MOIRA’s Accommodation Support service is through referral only from the vacancy management system administered by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
