Therapy Support

MOIRA has a small team of specialist therapy staff who work with existing MOIRA families as well as others referred for assistance. 

Our Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist are highly skilled in assisting families supporting a person with disabilities at home and in the community. In particular they can assess and advise on issues such as home and vehicle modifications as well as wheelchair design and modification.

In recent years we have developed and extended our provision of Family Therapy services. MOIRA employs qualified family therapists who have expertise and experience in disability and working with young people. Counselling can assist family members harness strengths and existing resources. It can help identify the communication and behaviour patterns which may have contributed to problems arising.

Therapy support and counselling is provided through funded programs and on a fee-for-service basis.
